Pass a ban on military-style weapons like the gun used in the Highland Park attack, and close dangerous loopholes in our background check laws, prohibiting the sale of high-capacity ammunition magazines and toughening penalties for adults who allow firearms to fall into the wrong hands.

Fight for safer communities by supporting new funding that puts more police on our streets and provides high-tech resources and collaboration to solve violent crimes, carjackings, and home burglaries. Mike will also fight for increased funding for mental health services and violence prevention programs.

Ensure access to critical women’s health services and protect a woman’s right to choose in Illinois. Mike will push to protect access to reproductive health care and to increase funding for Planned Parenthood.
